For Traders Rules

News and weekend trading are permitted by default at For Traders. The tighter conditions sit around automation, copying and position concentration. Stop losses are not mandatory.

Swaps

For Traders does not publish a swap policy, a swap rate card, a swap free account or an Islamic account anywhere on its own site, so the overnight cost cannot be confirmed from an official source. The firm's cost disclosures cover commission and spread only.

Expert Advisors

Expert Advisors (EAs) are permitted only as decision support. Any advisor, script or bot that opens, closes, manages or modifies positions without direct and continuous input from the trader is prohibited.

Following group or signal service calls is prohibited for the same reason: activity on the account must reflect independent decision making.

News Trading

News trading is allowed without restriction during every Challenge phase. On a Master Account no new trade may be opened within 5 minutes either side of a high impact release, but an existing position may be held through it. Full detail on this page.

Weekend Holding

Positions may be held overnight and over the weekend on every account type and at every stage. There is no Friday close requirement, and no purchase or add-on is needed for either. The full rule is on this page.

Hedging

Hedging within a single account is not prohibited. Offsetting positions across two or more For Traders accounts is, and is treated as artificially neutralising risk.

Hedge, reverse and latency arbitrage are prohibited. A separate 40% margin rule prevents using more than 40% of available margin on a single instrument or in a single direction. Full detail on this page.

Consistency

There is no firm wide consistency rule and the figure varies by product. The best single day must stay under 20% of total profit on Pay After Pass and under 15% on Instant. Fast, Fast Static, Classic, Strike and Instant Pro have none.

Exceeding the threshold is not a breach. The payout is blocked until the ratio falls back below it. Read the full rule on this page.

Copy Trading

Copying trades into a For Traders account from an external account, a signal service or a third party tool is prohibited. Copying out from a For Traders account to accounts you own yourself is allowed.

Allowing third party access, trading on behalf of others and sharing account passwords are grounds for closure. Detail on this page.

High Frequency Trading (HFT)

High Frequency Trading (HFT) and tick scalping are prohibited, and every position must be held for at least 5 seconds. Grid trading and martingale style loss recovery are also prohibited, and doubling position size after a loss is classed as gambling.

Taking more than 70% of the profit target in one trade is classed as gambling too, so passing on a single concentrated position is treated as a breach rather than a pass. A breach removes the trader from the ongoing challenge and closes all accounts, though the firm states it reviews each violation individually.

For Traders Drawdown

Every For Traders account carries a maximum loss limit, and every account except Instant Pro also carries a daily loss limit. Breaching either one ends the account.

The daily limit is 3% of the initial balance on most programs, and 4% or 3% on Classic depending on the variant bought. At 00:00 CE(S)T the system takes the higher of balance and equity and subtracts that fixed percentage of the initial balance to set the day minimum. The breach is tested on equity, so floating profit and loss counts. The firm's legacy rules page still states a 22:00 UTC reset.

Maximum loss is static on Fast Static, Classic and Strike, and trailing on Pay After Pass, Fast, Instant and Instant Pro. A trailing limit follows the highest recorded balance and never rises above the initial balance.

Instant (Master)

Trailing 5%

Example: the limit trails your highest recorded balance by 5%. After the first reward it locks at the starting balance and stops trailing. The daily limit is 3%.

Instant PRO (Master)

Trailing 6%

Example: the limit trails your highest recorded balance by 6% and locks at the starting balance after the first reward. There is no daily loss limit on this account, and no Drawdown Protection either.

1 Step (FAST)

Trailing 6%

Example: on a $100,000 account, the limit trails your highest balance by 6% and stops trailing once it reaches the $100,000 starting balance. The trailing limit carries over to the Master Account. The daily limit is 3%.

1 Step (FAST STATIC)

Static 6%

Example: on a $100,000 account, the account breaches if equity or balance falls below $94,000. The level is calculated from the initial balance and remains static even as the account grows. The daily limit is 3%, measured here from the day starting balance rather than the higher of balance and equity.

1 Step (PAY AFTER PASS)

Trailing 6%

Example: on a $100,000 account, the limit trails your highest balance by 6% and stops trailing at the $100,000 starting balance. The profit target is 2%, so the limit has little room to move before the phase ends. The daily limit is 3%.

2 Step (CLASSIC)

Static 8%

Example: on a $100,000 account, the account breaches if equity or balance falls below $92,000. The level is calculated from the initial balance and remains static even as the account grows.

Classic is sold in two variants. One pairs an 8% maximum loss with a 4% daily limit and targets of 8% then 5%. The other pairs a 10% maximum loss with a 3% daily limit and a 10% first phase target.

3 Step (STRIKE)

Static 5%

Example: on a $100,000 account, the account breaches if equity or balance falls below $95,000. The level is calculated from the initial balance and remains static even as the account grows. The daily limit is 3%.

Drawdown Protection

2%

A second mechanism sits above the loss limits on Master Accounts. It is standard, cannot be switched off, and watches floating profit and loss. At 2% below the starting balance it closes all open trades at market and cuts the profit split to 50%. On a second trigger it closes the trades and closes the account. Instant Pro is the one Master Account without it.

Platforms

For Traders runs its forex and CFD accounts on MetaTrader 5 and cTrader. A platform change request is supported if you pick the wrong one at checkout.

MT5

For Traders supports MetaTrader 5 (MT5), a widely used platform offering advanced charting, multiple order types, and a full set of analytical tools. Automation runs as MQL5 Expert Advisors, which For Traders permits only as decision support.

MT5 is available to every trader except those in the United States.

cTrader

For Traders provides cTrader, a platform known for its clean interface, fast order execution, and advanced charting tools. For Traders publishes no country restriction on it.

For Traders Scaling

Scaling Plan

Scaling runs through the Premium Program on the Master Account, and it qualifies traders on months of profitability and payout history rather than on a single profit target. There are three tiers.

Bronze needs 4 profitable months and at least 4 payouts totalling 13% profit. It adds 25% to the balance and carries a $200,000 cap. Silver needs 8 profitable months and 6 payouts totalling 20%, adds 50%, and carries a $300,000 cap. Gold needs 12 profitable months and 8 payouts totalling 30%, and adds 75%.

Gold also includes free challenge entry after a failure. That is the only retry For Traders publishes anywhere.

Two Programs

For Traders publishes two schemes at once. Alongside the three tier Premium Program there is a five tier loyalty program, and its numeric values are held back to the dashboard rather than published on the site. The rule set does list increases of 2% at Pro, 5% at VIP and 10% at Legend.

The Cap

Funded capital is capped at $300,000 combined across all Master and Instant Master Accounts. There is no limit on the number of challenge accounts you run, and account merging is not offered. For a fuller breakdown, see this page.

For Traders FAQs

Which For Traders program should I choose?

Pay After Pass passes at a 2% target and charges an activation fee only after you pass. Fast is one phase at 9% or 11% depending on the order, and Fast Static swaps the trailing limit for a static one at a 10% target. Classic is two phases at 8% then 5%, Strike is three phases at 4%, 4% then 6%, and the two instant programs fund on purchase with no target.

Is there a time limit to complete the challenge?

Only on 3 Step (STRIKE), which allows 60 days per phase and 180 days in total. Every other program is unlimited. The separate clock is inactivity, which terminates the account after 30 days without a closed trade, or after 7 days on the instant programs.

How do payouts and the profit split work?

The split is a fixed 80% on Pay After Pass, Fast, Fast Static, Classic and Strike. Instant starts at 70% and rises 5% with each reward to 90%. Instant Pro starts at 60% and rises 10% with each reward, and For Traders publishes the ceiling as 90% in one place and 100% in another. Rewards are requested every 14 days, with a $100 minimum and 3 profitable days of 0.5% each. Instant asks for 7 profitable days, Pay After Pass and Instant Pro for none. Methods are covered on this page.

Are there fees on a payout?

Yes. A payout of $100 to $399 taken in crypto carries a $25 fee, and a payout of $400 or more taken through Rise carries a $50 fee. The minimum request is $100 in profit and the maximum is $15,000 per reward cycle, although the terms state a separate cap of $30,000 per trade idea.

How many accounts can I hold?

There is no restriction on the number of challenge accounts and no allocation limit during the challenge phase. Funded capital is capped at $300,000 combined across Master and Instant Master Accounts. Account merging is not offered.

What is Drawdown Protection?

A standard, non optional mechanism on Master Accounts that watches floating profit and loss. At 2% below the starting balance it closes all open trades at market and cuts the profit split to 50%. On a second trigger it closes the trades and closes the account.

Is identity verification required?

Yes, but not at sign up. Verification happens right before the first payout. A small number of accounts are also asked for a video call before a Master upgrade or a reward, which must be booked within 48 hours, and the upgrade or payment is held until it is completed. For Traders does not publish a minimum age.

For Traders Discounts

The For Traders discount code is available on this page. The live code sits in the banner at the top of the page and can be copied with one click. It is updated regularly to reflect the highest discount currently available, so the code shown is always the best active offer.

A purchase made through Propvator also includes a Buy One, Get One (BOGO) offer at payout and cashback on the purchase. In total, a trader receives a discount on the account through the code, a free account of the same size at payout, and cashback on what they spend. (T&Cs apply)

More about For Traders

Can I try For Traders before I buy a challenge?

Yes. For Traders publishes a read only demo login, so you can open TradeLocker, MetaTrader 5 and cTrader and watch its real spreads, commissions and swaps before paying for anything. The server, login and password are on the For Traders demo account page.

What do other traders say about For Traders?

Aggregated trader feedback puts For Traders at 4 out of 5, which reads as positive. The For Traders trader sentiment page breaks that down into payouts, trading conditions and customer support, and says what sits behind each score.

Where can I find every For Traders rule explained?

Each rule has its own guide rather than one long page, so you can read only the one that affects your strategy. The For Traders directory indexes all of them, from news trading and weekend holding to expert advisors, copy trading, drawdown and payouts.
