The rules that decide whether a Funding Traders account passes, stays funded or breaches. News trading and weekend holding are treated very differently on the Pro programs and on Instant (Instant Funded).
Checked against Funding Traders on 29 July 2026
Account Type
News trading is unrestricted during the Pro challenge phases. On a funded Pro account no more than 30% of total profit may come from news influenced trades, which delays a payout rather than failing the account. On Instant (Instant Funded) it is prohibited and terminates the account.
Overnight and weekend holding are allowed on the Pro programs. For Instant the firm publishes two opposite rules: an announcement dated 29 June 2026 allows weekend holding with no forced Friday flatten, while the general trading guidelines, the terms and the withdrawal policy all fail the account for it.
Expert advisors are permitted only where they serve risk management. Grid and hedge advisors are banned, advisors that place trades must be written by the trader, and the terms go further and require an exception from the risk team.
Copy trading is allowed between accounts you own but not from other traders, and sharing signals is prohibited. Hedging across accounts is prohibited. Manual hedging inside one account is not addressed, though hedge advisors are banned.
On the Pro programs yes, unrestricted during the challenge and capped at 30% of total profit once funded. A news trade is one opened, held or closed from 5 minutes before to 5 minutes after a red folder release. On Instant it is prohibited, and the help centre and the terms give two different windows.
On the Pro programs yes. For Instant the firm contradicts itself: an announcement dated 29 June 2026 says weekend holding is now allowed, while the general trading guidelines, the terms and the withdrawal policy all say an open weekend position fails the account.
Only for risk management, such as position size calculation. Advisors that place trades are allowed only if the trader programmed them, and grid and hedge advisors are banned. An advisor written with AI is accepted only if the trader can explain the code.
Across accounts, no, including opposite positions on connected accounts. Within a single account the firm publishes no position either way. Grid trading, three or more open positions on the same pair in the same direction, is prohibited outright.
The highest profit day must not exceed 15% of total profit on Instant or 50% on 1 Step (Pro). The 2 Step programs have none. Instant also requires the largest loss not to exceed the largest win, and holds back the first 3% of profit as a cushion.
A breach of daily loss, maximum loss, risk per trade, the Instant lot cap or news rule, inactivity or the holding time rules terminates the account immediately. A breach of consistency or the news profit cap only blocks the payout until the trader trades back into compliance.
