Rules
Swaps apply as standard on positions held overnight. Alpha Capital accounts are not swap free by default.
Swap Free Add On: swap free is a paid checkout add-on priced at roughly 10% of the plan fee. It replaces swaps with a $5.00 per lot charge in each direction, is MetaTrader 5 only, and disables expert advisors on the account. It cannot be added after purchase.
Expert advisors require pre-approval before use. Only trade management tools are approved, covering lot sizing, stop loss handling and break even. Anything that trades independently without human oversight is prohibited outright.
Sharing one expert advisor between traders counts as group trading and is prohibited. Expert advisors are also disabled on swap free accounts.
News trading is unrestricted during the evaluation phases. On a qualified account, no trade may be opened or closed on the affected instrument within 5 minutes either side of a release. A stop loss or take profit that fills inside that window counts as a violation and the profit is removed.
2 Step (Alpha Swing) uses a tighter 2 minute window with a minimum trade duration instead. On Instant (Alpha Direct) the 5 minute window applies from the start, since there is no evaluation. For the full rule, see this page.
Weekend holding is allowed at every stage on 2 Step (Alpha Swing) and 1 Step (Alpha One). On 2 Step (Alpha Pro) it is allowed in both evaluation phases but not on the qualified account, where it forfeits the profit rather than closing the account.
Instant (Alpha Direct) does not allow weekend holding. Overnight holding is allowed on it, with swaps. Positions held over the weekend incur swaps on every plan. Full detail on this page.
Hedging within a single account is allowed, including three or more positions on the same instrument at once.
Hedging across two Alpha Capital accounts is prohibited, and correlated instruments count when that is assessed. Hedging for arbitrage is not allowed. Detail on this page.
Two consistency rules run in parallel. No single trading day may contribute more than 40% of total profit, or 15% on Instant (Alpha Direct). Separately, the average duration of all trades must exceed 2 minutes, and at least half of profit must come from trades held longer than that.
A partial withdrawal resets the consistency score to zero. Breaking the 2 minute rule during the evaluation restarts from phase 1; on a qualified account it removes all profit and resets the balance. Read the full rule on this page.
Copy trading is allowed between your own Alpha Capital accounts only. It is not available on cTrader or DX Trade.
Following someone else's signals is classed as group trading and is prohibited, as is third party account management. Detail on this page.
High frequency trading, arbitrage and latency trading are not allowed, and the ban covers order book spamming.
Alpha Capital separates soft breaches from hard ones. A loss limit breach closes a qualified account. A prohibited strategy can terminate the account and lead to a ban. Lot exposure breaches forfeit payout eligibility on the first occasion and deactivate the account on the second.
Alpha Capital sells four programs: 1 Step (Alpha One), 2 Step (Alpha Pro), 2 Step (Alpha Swing) and Instant (Alpha Direct). Use the buttons below to switch between the four programs.

1 Step (Alpha One) is also sold with a 6% target and a 4% trailing maximum loss, and with a 12% target and an 8% trailing maximum loss. 2 Step (Alpha Pro) is also sold as 6% then 6% with a 6% static maximum loss, and as 8% then 5% with an 8% static maximum loss.
Instant (Alpha Direct) funds on purchase. It has no profit target, a 3% daily loss and a 5% trailing maximum loss, pays 90% as standard on demand once a 3% profit buffer is reached, and cannot be scaled or merged.
The profit split is 80% as standard. The 90% add-on is available on 1 Step (Alpha One) and on 2 Step (Alpha Pro) On-Demand plans, and is not sold on 2 Step (Alpha Swing).
There is no time limit on any phase. 1 Step (Alpha One) needs 1 trading day, and the 2 Step plans need 3 per phase. Accounts are deactivated after 30 consecutive days without a trade.
The evaluation sizes below run from $5K to $200K. Instant (Alpha Direct) runs from $2.5K to $200K.
Every Alpha Capital account carries a daily loss limit and a maximum loss limit. The daily limit is measured against the higher of balance or equity, resets at 00:00 GMT+3, and is triggered on equity as well as balance.
The daily limit is 3% on 2 Step (Alpha Pro 6%) and Instant (Alpha Direct), 4% on 2 Step (Alpha Pro 8%), and 5% on 2 Step (Alpha Pro 10%) and 2 Step (Alpha Swing). On 1 Step (Alpha One) it is 3% on the 6% target variant, rising to 4% once qualified, 4% on the 10% variant and 5% on the 12% variant.
The maximum loss trails the account high-water mark and locks at the initial balance once the account is 6% in profit. It is 4% on the 6% target variant, 6% on the 10% variant and 8% on the 12% variant.
Example: On a $100,000 account on the 10% target variant, the maximum loss is 6% and sits below each new account high. Once the balance reaches $106,000 the limit locks at $100,000 and stops trailing.
The maximum loss is measured from the starting balance and never moves: 6% on the 6% target variant, 8% on the 8% variant and 10% on the 10% variant.
Example: On a $100,000 account with the 10% option, the account breaches if the balance or equity falls below $90,000. The limit remains static at $90,000 even as the account grows.
Example: On a $100,000 account, the account breaches if the balance or equity falls below $90,000. The level remains static even as the account grows.
The maximum loss is 5% on the high-water mark and resets to each new account high. It does not lock.
Example: On a $100,000 account the limit starts at $95,000 and moves up with every new account high. The daily loss limit is 3%.
Alpha Capital supports MetaTrader 5 (MT5), a widely used platform offering advanced charting, multiple order types, depth of market, and Expert Advisor support.
MetaTrader 5 is the only platform the swap free add-on runs on. Expert advisors still need pre-approval, and they are disabled on swap free accounts.
Alpha Capital provides cTrader, a platform known for its clean interface, fast order execution, and advanced charting tools.
cTrader is closed to new customers in the United States. Copy trading between your own accounts is not available on it.
Alpha Capital offers DX Trade, a customizable web platform with advanced order management and real-time market data.
Copy trading between your own accounts is not available on DX Trade either.
At 10% growth you can request scaling, which raises the balance by 10% of the initial size. Each further step needs another 10% gain.
Scaling runs to a cumulative $2,000,000 across all scaled accounts.
Scaling is available on 2 Step (Alpha Pro) and 2 Step (Alpha Swing). 1 Step (Alpha One) is not an eligible plan, and Instant (Alpha Direct) cannot be scaled or merged. Merged accounts cannot be scaled.
Separately, qualified accounts are capped at $400,000 per household and $300,000 per trading strategy. For the full breakdown, see this page.
No. The firm states the evaluation has no expiration date, whether it takes a month or a year, and there is no maximum number of trading days. Accounts are permanently deactivated after 30 consecutive days without a trade.
1 Step (Alpha One) passes in one phase but uses a trailing maximum loss. 2 Step (Alpha Pro) and 2 Step (Alpha Swing) use a static maximum loss that never moves, at the cost of more phases or a higher target. Instant (Alpha Direct) skips the evaluation entirely and ships with a 90% split.
Every 14 days, with the first payout 14 days after the first trade, or on demand once 2% of gross profit is reached. The minimum is $100 gross on the bi-weekly schedule and 2% of gross profit on demand.
2 Step (Alpha Swing) is on demand only. Instant (Alpha Direct) pays on demand once a 3% profit buffer is met, with a 1% minimum. Payout methods are covered on this page.
No. Alpha Capital publishes one position on refunds and it is a refusal: all evaluation plans are non-refundable. No change of mind window, cooling off period or refund fee is published.
The wording covers evaluation plans. The firm does not state whether it also applies to Instant (Alpha Direct), which has no evaluation to pass, or to the two paid add-ons. Free retakes were discontinued and replaced by unlimited trading days within the assessments.
Evaluations are unlimited. Qualified accounts are capped at $400,000 per household and $300,000 per trading strategy. One individual may not operate multiple accounts through the same IP address, and a VPN or VPS is permitted only with a static IP declared to the firm in advance.
The average duration of all trades must be greater than 2 minutes, and at least half of profits must come from trades held longer than that. Breaking it during the evaluation restarts from phase 1; on a qualified account it removes all profit and resets the balance.
The Alpha Capital discount code is available on this page. The live code sits in the banner at the top of the page and can be copied with one click. It is updated regularly to reflect the highest discount currently available, so the code shown is always the best active offer.
A purchase made through Propvator also includes a Buy One, Get One (BOGO) offer at payout and cashback on the purchase. In total, a trader receives a discount on the account through the code, a free account of the same size at payout, and cashback on what they spend. (T&Cs apply)
Not yet. Alpha Capital has not published a demo login we are able to share, so there is no way to inspect its live pricing without buying an account. The Alpha Capital demo account page will carry the server, login and password as soon as one exists.
Aggregated trader feedback puts Alpha Capital at 4 out of 5, which reads as positive. The Alpha Capital trader sentiment page breaks that down into payouts, trading conditions and customer support, and says what sits behind each score.
Each rule has its own guide rather than one long page, so you can read only the one that affects your strategy. The Alpha Capital directory indexes all of them, from news trading and weekend holding to expert advisors, copy trading, drawdown and payouts.
