Which rules actually end accounts

News trading is unrestricted during evaluation. On a qualified account, no trade may be opened or closed on the affected instrument within 5 minutes either side of a release, and a stop or take profit filling inside that window counts as a violation that removes the profit. 2 Step (Alpha Swing) uses a tighter 2 minute window with a minimum trade duration.

Expert advisors require pre-approval. Tools that manage an open trade are approved; anything that trades independently without human oversight is prohibited outright.

Hedging within one account is allowed, including three or more positions on the same instrument. Hedging across two Alpha Capital accounts is prohibited, and correlated instruments count for that test.

Two consistency rules run in parallel: no single day may contribute more than 40% of total profit, 15% on Instant (Alpha Direct); and the average duration of all trades must exceed 2 minutes.

Alpha Capital rules: common questions

Freely during the evaluation phases. On a qualified account you cannot open or close a trade on the affected instrument within 5 minutes either side of a release, and a stop or take profit triggered inside that window is treated as a violation. 2 Step (Alpha Swing) uses a 2 minute window instead.
