Goat Funded Futures Rules

Swaps

Goat Funded Futures publishes no swap or overnight financing policy, because positions cannot be held overnight on any account type.

Commission is charged per side instead, and it counts toward your profit and loss and toward drawdown. Published examples include $2.88 on ES, NQ and RTY, $0.95 on MES, MNQ and M2K, $8.00 on BTC, $1.60 on MBT and $3.10 on 6E.

Expert Advisors (EAs)

Personal automated strategies and expert advisors are allowed, provided they match your own trading style.

Anything built to exploit system gaps, latency or data feed anomalies is prohibited, as is bulk order entry.

News Trading

News trading is unrestricted on the 1 Step (EOD), 1 Step (Sprint) and 1 Step (Flex) evaluations.

On every funded account a 2 minute buffer applies either side of a high impact release. Inside that window you cannot open a position, close a position or trigger a pending order. A position opened before the window may be held through the event. Orders placed inside the window have their profit deducted at payout.

Gap trading, including opening on the day of a scheduled earnings release, is treated the same way.

Weekend Holding

Weekend holding is not permitted, and neither is overnight holding, on any account type.

Positions still open 5 minutes before the close are flattened automatically at 15:55 CT. The firm's payouts page still lists weekend holding in a feature marquee, which contradicts the help centre.

Hedging

Hedged or opposing positions across accounts are prohibited. The firm publishes no rule on hedging inside a single account.

Sharing devices, VPS instances or IP addresses to link trading is also prohibited, and the region you buy from must match the region you trade from. Arbitrage of any kind is banned.

Consistency

The consistency rule caps how much of your total profit may come from one trading day. It is checked when you request a payout, not in real time, and breaching it blocks the payout rather than closing the account.

In evaluation it is 50% on EOD and Flex and none on Sprint. Once funded it is 30% on EOD, 35% on Sprint, 20% on Instant and none on Flex.

Minimum Trade Duration

On EOD, Sprint and Instant accounts, profit from any trade closed within 2 minutes of opening is deducted from the balance and from payout calculations. Partial closes inside 2 minutes count. The trade itself is not a breach.

Flex accounts have no minimum duration, but at payout at least 50% of closed trades and 50% of net profit must come from trades held over 1 minute.

Copy Trading

Copying your own trades across your own accounts is allowed, including across a five account bundle. Copying other traders or signal providers is not.

A separate help article states that signal services and copy trading are not permitted at all and may lead to termination, which contradicts the prohibited strategies article.

High-Frequency Trading (HFT)

High frequency trading, latency arbitrage and feed exploitation are not allowed.

100 or more trades in one day can trigger a risk review. One sided all in bets are treated as gambling.

Goat Funded Futures Accounts

Goat Funded Futures sells four programs: 1 Step (EOD), 1 Step (Sprint), 1 Step (Flex) and Instant (Instant Funded).

Account Sizes

Sizes differ by program. EOD and Flex run at $50,000, $100,000 and $150,000, Sprint at $25,000, $50,000 and $100,000, and Instant from $25,000 up to $150,000. The Propvator offers table also lists a $75,000 Instant size that the firm's own specification pages do not.

All three evaluations are single phase and all three ask for 6% of the starting balance, which is $3,000 on a $50,000 account and $1,500 on Sprint $25,000. There is no time limit on any of them. Only Flex sets a minimum, at 2 trading days.

The maximum loss figures above are for the smaller sizes. It is 4% on those and 3% on $100,000 and $150,000, except on Instant, where it is 5% at every size.

Daily loss differs by program. EOD has none during the evaluation and 2.5% of the starting balance once funded. Sprint is 2.4% on $25,000 and 2% on $50,000 and $100,000. Flex has none at any stage. Instant is 3%.

These are exchange traded futures, so position size is capped by contract count rather than leverage, and the cap is the same during the evaluation and once funded. EOD allows 5 mini or 50 micro on $50,000, 9 or 90 on $100,000 and 12 or 120 on $150,000. Sprint allows 1 or 10 on $25,000, 5 or 50 on $50,000 and 7 or 70 on $100,000. Flex allows 3 or 30, 5 or 50 and 8 or 80. Instant starts at 3 or 30 on $25,000 and reaches 8 or 80 on $150,000.

The split is 80% on EOD and Flex unless the 90/10 add-on is bought, which costs 20% of the challenge fee. Sprint pays 90% from the first dollar. Instant pays 100% on the first $10,000 paid out and 90% after that.

Instant (Instant Funded) has no evaluation and no pass or fail target, but the account must grow 7% before the first payout. It cannot be reset. The three evaluations can be reset twice at a discounted price, and one help article says once instead.

Activation fees are $0 on every plan. One trader may hold up to 5 funded accounts on each of EOD, Sprint and Flex and up to 3 Instant Funded accounts, with no cap on evaluation accounts.

Goat Funded Futures Drawdown

Trailing Drawdown

Every Goat Funded Futures account carries a maximum loss, and most programs also carry a daily loss limit. The maximum loss is 4% on the smaller sizes and 3% on $100,000 and $150,000, except on Instant, where it is 5% at every size.

On the 1 Step (EOD), 1 Step (Sprint) and 1 Step (Flex) evaluations it trails on the end of day figure and stops once it reaches the starting balance. Three help articles describe the Sprint drawdown as intraday trailing instead, which contradicts the Sprint specification page.

Breaching the maximum loss is a hard breach and closes the account immediately, in evaluation and once funded.

How Trailing Drawdown Works

On a $100,000 EOD account the maximum loss is 3%, so the level sits $3,000 below your end of day balance. It only moves up when the trading day closes higher, never intraday, and it stops moving once it has climbed to the starting balance. From then on the level is fixed and the account cannot fall below what it started with.

Commission is charged per side and counts toward drawdown as well as toward your profit and loss.

Intraday Trailing on Instant Funded Accounts

Instant (Instant Funded) is the strictest of the four. Its 5% maximum loss trails intraday on your highest equity, including unrealised profit on open positions, so a position that runs up and then gives the profit back still moves the level against you. It also locks at the starting balance once it reaches it.

Daily Loss Limit

EOD has no daily loss limit during the evaluation and 2.5% of the starting balance once funded. Sprint is 2.4% on $25,000 and 2% on $50,000 and $100,000 during the evaluation, with the funded limit given as $600 on one page and as none on another. Flex has none at any stage. Instant is 3% of the starting balance.

Hitting it is a soft breach: open positions are liquidated and the account is paused until the next trading day rather than closed. Daily profit is capped at 5% of the balance once funded.

Separately, an account breaches after 7 consecutive days with no trade, in evaluation and once funded, and that breach cannot be reversed or refunded.

Platforms

Goat Funded Futures runs on nine platforms, grouped by market data provider. You choose the platform and the feed at checkout, and the feed cannot be changed afterwards.

NinjaTrader, Tradovate and TradingView

These three run on the CQG feed. TradingView is connected through Tradovate rather than directly. NinjaTrader and Tradovate are the standard futures platforms for order flow, bracket orders and automated execution.

Quantower, ATAS, Volumetrica, DeepCharts and DeepMap

These five run on the DxFeed feed. They are the volume and footprint focused options in the line-up. An ATAS licence is provided to all challenge buyers, and a Quantower licence is also referenced.

TickBlaze

TickBlaze runs on its own feed, TickBlaze Market Data, and is the only platform on it.

Market Data and Instruments

Level 2 depth of market is not provided on any feed, and traders must self certify as non professional.

Tradable instruments are futures listed on CME, CBOT, COMEX and NYMEX. Stocks, options, CFDs and spot crypto are outside the programs. Commission is charged per side and counts toward your profit and loss; the firm does not state which data feed its published commission table applies to.

Goat Funded Futures Scaling

Goat Funded Futures has no profit based scaling plan. Contract limits are identical during the evaluation and once funded on every program, so hitting a profit milestone does not increase the size you can trade.

The Instant Funded specification page says a scaling plan is available but publishes no thresholds.

Growing an Account With Reward Points

Growth is bought rather than earned. The rewards page sells a +10% account size increase for 200 reward points, and $500 of extra maximum drawdown also for 200 points.

Contract Limits by Program

1 Step (EOD) allows 5 mini or 50 micro on $50,000, 9 or 90 on $100,000 and 12 or 120 on $150,000. 1 Step (Sprint) allows 1 or 10 on $25,000, 5 or 50 on $50,000 and 7 or 70 on $100,000. 1 Step (Flex) allows 3 or 30, 5 or 50 and 8 or 80. Instant starts at 3 or 30 on $25,000 and reaches 8 or 80 on $150,000.

How Many Accounts You Can Hold

The practical route to more size is more accounts. One trader may hold up to 5 funded accounts on each of EOD, Sprint and Flex and up to 3 Instant Funded accounts, and there is no cap on how many evaluation accounts you run at once.

Goat Funded Futures FAQ

Which Goat Funded Futures program should I choose?

1 Step (EOD) is the cheapest route and has no daily loss limit during the evaluation. 1 Step (Sprint) pays 90% from the first dollar and needs only 5 winning days per payout. 1 Step (Flex) has no daily loss limit at any stage and no consistency rule once funded. Instant (Instant Funded) skips the evaluation entirely.

Is there a time limit?

No. EOD, Sprint and Flex all publish a time limit of None. The only clock is the inactivity rule, which breaches an account after 7 consecutive days without a trade, on evaluation and funded accounts alike. Flex is the only program with a minimum, at 2 trading days.

How many contracts can I trade?

It depends on program and size, and the cap is the same in evaluation and once funded. EOD allows 5 mini or 50 micro at $50,000, 9 or 90 at $100,000 and 12 or 120 at $150,000. Sprint allows 1 or 10 at $25,000, 5 or 50 at $50,000 and 7 or 70 at $100,000. Flex allows 3 or 30, 5 or 50 and 8 or 80. Instant starts at 3 or 30 on $25,000 and reaches 8 or 80 on $150,000.

When do I get paid, and how much of the profit is mine?

Payouts run twice a month, in the 5th to 8th or the 20th to 23rd window. EOD and Instant need 7 winning days per cycle, Sprint and Flex need 5, and Instant also needs 10 calendar days and a new equity high before the first payout. The minimum withdrawal is $500 and requests are capped at 50% of profit, up to $1,500 to $4,250 by size on EOD, $800 to $4,500 on Sprint, $2,000 to $3,000 on Flex and $1,000 to $4,000 on Instant. The split is 80% on EOD and Flex, or 90% with the add-on, 90% from the first dollar on Sprint, and 100% on the first $10,000 paid out on Instant before dropping to 90%.

Is news trading restricted?

Not during the EOD, Sprint and Flex evaluations. On any funded account a 2 minute buffer applies before and after a high impact release, and you cannot open, close or trigger pending orders inside it. A position opened before the window can be held through the event.

Can I hold positions overnight or over the weekend?

No, on any account type. Anything still open 5 minutes before the close is flattened automatically at 15:55 CT, and weekend holding is not permitted. The firm's payouts page still lists weekend holding in a feature marquee, which contradicts the help centre.

What is the consistency rule?

It caps how much of your total profit can come from one trading day, and it is checked when you request a payout rather than in real time. In evaluation it is 50% on EOD and Flex and none on Sprint. Once funded it is 30% on EOD, 35% on Sprint, 20% on Instant and none on Flex. Breaching it blocks the payout instead of closing the account.

Can I reset a failed challenge, and what happens if I breach?

EOD, Sprint and Flex evaluations can be reset twice at a discounted price, for example $59 on EOD $50,000 and $84 on Flex $50,000. One other help article says the account can be reset once. Instant Funded accounts cannot be reset at all. Exceeding the maximum drawdown is a hard breach and closes the account at once, hitting the daily loss limit is a soft breach that pauses trading until the next day, and 7 consecutive days of inactivity breaches the account with no refund.

More about Goat Funded Futures

Can I try Goat Funded Futures before I buy a challenge?

Not yet. Goat Funded Futures has not published a demo login we are able to share, so there is no way to inspect its live pricing without buying an account. The Goat Funded Futures demo account page will carry the server, login and password as soon as one exists.

What do other traders say about Goat Funded Futures?

Every review on Propvator is written by someone who showed us a receipt first, so what you read on the Goat Funded Futures reviews page comes from traders who actually bought an account rather than from anyone who happened to have an opinion.

Where can I find every Goat Funded Futures rule explained?

Each rule has its own guide rather than one long page, so you can read only the one that affects your strategy. The Goat Funded Futures directory indexes all of them, from news trading and weekend holding to expert advisors, copy trading, drawdown and payouts.
