The rules that decide whether a Goat Funded Futures account passes, keeps paying out or breaches. Overnight and weekend holding are banned outright, and news trading is free during evaluation but buffered once funded.

Account Type
News trading is unrestricted on EOD, Sprint and Flex evaluations. On every funded account a 2 minute buffer applies either side of a high impact release, during which you cannot open, close or trigger pending orders. A position opened before the window may be held through the event. Orders placed inside the window have their profit deducted at payout. Gap trading, including opening on the day of a scheduled earnings release, is treated the same way.
Overnight holding is not permitted on any account type and neither is weekend holding. Positions still open 5 minutes before the close are flattened automatically at 15:55 CT.
Personal automated strategies and expert advisors are allowed provided they match your trading style and do not exploit system gaps, latency or data feed anomalies. Copying your own trades across your own accounts is allowed, including across a five account bundle. Copying other traders or signal providers is not. A separate article states that signal services and copy trading are not permitted at all, which contradicts this.
Hedged or opposing positions across accounts are prohibited, as is sharing devices, VPS instances or IP addresses to link trading. The firm publishes no rule on hedging inside a single account. Arbitrage of any kind is banned, and 100 or more trades in one day can trigger a risk review.
Yes during the EOD, Sprint and Flex evaluations, with no restriction. On any funded account a 2 minute buffer applies before and after a high impact release, and you cannot open, close or trigger pending orders inside it. Positions opened before the window can be held through the event.
No. All positions must be closed before the end of the trading session on every account type, and weekend holding is not permitted. Anything left open is flattened automatically 5 minutes before the close, at 15:55 CT. The firm's payouts page still lists weekend holding in a feature marquee, which contradicts the help centre.
Yes, for personal automated strategies that are consistent with your own trading style. Anything designed to exploit system vulnerabilities, latency or data feed anomalies is prohibited, as is high frequency and bulk order entry.
The firm publishes two positions. The prohibited strategies article allows copying your own trades across your own accounts and a separate article confirms copying into a five account bundle. A third article states that signal services and copy trading are not permitted at all and may lead to termination. Copying other traders or signal providers is prohibited under both.
On EOD, Sprint and Instant accounts, profit from any trade closed within 2 minutes of opening is deducted from the balance and from payout calculations. Partial closes inside 2 minutes count. The trade itself is not a breach. Flex accounts are exempt, but at payout at least 50% of closed trades and 50% of net profit must come from trades held over 1 minute.
Exceeding the maximum drawdown is a hard breach and closes the account at once, with no reset available on Instant Funded. Hitting the daily loss limit is a soft breach: open positions are liquidated and trading resumes the next day. Breaching consistency blocks the payout but leaves the account open. Inactivity of 7 consecutive days breaches the account with no refund.
