Account Type
News trading is permitted. The general rules page lists manual trading, swing trading, day trading, scalping, news trading and holding positions over weekends as permitted activities, with no blackout window and no separate news rule anywhere on the site.
Overnight and weekend holding is permitted on every account type and every instrument. The firm states the cryptocurrency market operates 24 hours a day and seven days a week and that it fully supports swing trading. On Bybit accounts every trade must stay open for at least 50 seconds before being closed; holding a trade for less than 50 seconds is listed as prohibited conduct. That rule does not apply to Cleo.
Automated trading is banned outright. The firm states that all trades must be initiated and managed by the trader manually and that accounts using automated trading will be terminated. Expert advisors, bots, scripts and algorithms that execute trades without manual oversight are all covered. Analysis and charting tools, manually placed stop loss and take profit orders, and alerts that inform a manual decision remain allowed. Copy trading is prohibited outright, including between accounts the same trader owns.
Hedging between accounts, tick scalping, latency and arbitrage strategies, front running the price feed, spamming the order book, group trading and exploiting the demo environment are all prohibited. Normal scalping with proper market analysis is permitted. The stability score is Klein's consistency rule: no single trading day's profit may equal or exceed 30% of total profits on 1 phase plans or 45% on 2 phase plans. Violating it does not close the account, it simply requires more trading until the best day falls below the threshold. The firm states Cleo has no consistency or stability rule.
Yes. News trading is named as a permitted activity on the firm's general rules page, alongside manual trading, swing trading, day trading, scalping and weekend position holding. No blackout window or news specific restriction is published.
Yes, on every account type and every instrument. The firm states the crypto market operates 24 hours a day and seven days a week and that it fully supports swing traders keeping positions open over the weekend. There is no daily close out.
No. The use of automated trading systems, including expert advisors and similar trading robots, is stated to be strictly prohibited. All trades must be initiated and managed manually and accounts using automated trading will be terminated. Charting and analysis tools, manual stop loss and take profit orders and alerts are still allowed.
No. Copy trading is prohibited, and the firm states this applies even between accounts you own yourself. Organised copy trading rings and coordinated identical trades between traders are treated as group trading and result in termination of all accounts involved.
It is called the stability score. No single trading day's profit may equal or exceed 30% of total profits on 1 phase plans, or 45% on 2 phase plans, measured against the profit target while in evaluation. Breaking it does not fail the account: the trader keeps trading until the best day falls below the threshold. The firm states Cleo has no stability rule, and the pricing table shows no stability requirement on Cleo Standard, Cleo Flex or Instant Pro.
Exceeding the maximum daily or maximum overall drawdown brings an email notification and deactivation of the account. Certain platform actions are immediate breaches: trading USDC instead of USDT, trading spot, futures, options or margin markets, borrowing USDT balance, and requesting demo funds from Bybit after connecting the API, which the firm states cannot be reversed. What happens to accrued profit on a breach is not published.
