Leverage, commission and swaps on FT UK forex accounts. Leverage is set by program and rises as the account scales through the levels, and every instrument is swap free by default on all three platforms.
Checked against FT UK on 29 July 2026
FT UK prices add-ons as a percentage of the order value rather than as a flat fee, so the cost rises with the account size. Three of the add-ons sold at checkout are not documented anywhere in the help centre, and no add-ons at all are offered on the Flex Challenge.
Leverage rises with the scaling level. 1 Step runs 10:1 through the evaluation and level 1, 20:1 at levels 2 and 3, 30:1 at levels 4 and 5, then 50:1 at levels 6 and 7. 2 Step runs 30:1 through the challenge, the verification and level 1, 50:1 at levels 3 to 5 and 100:1 at levels 6 and 7, and Instant Funding is 30:1 at every level.
2 Step leverage at level 2 is published as 30:1 in the leverage article and 50:1 in the rules table and on the Scaling Plans page. Flex leverage is given as 30:1 flat in the leverage article and as 50:1 in evaluation with 30:1 once funded in the Flex article. Leverage on other asset classes is fixed at every level: 10:1 on indices and metals, 5:1 on other commodities and 2:1 on crypto.
Commission is $4 per standard lot on forex pairs only, with nothing on commodities, indices or crypto, and the rate is the same on every platform and account type. FT UK publishes no spread figures, but it does publish read only demo logins so spreads can be checked before buying.
Swap fees have been removed from all instruments on MetaTrader 5, TradeLocker and Match-Trader, so accounts are swap free by default and no swap free add-on is sold.
It depends on the program and the level. 1 Step starts at 10:1 and reaches 50:1 by level 6. 2 Step starts at 30:1 and reaches 100:1 by level 6. Instant Funding is 30:1 throughout. Indices and metals are 10:1, other commodities 5:1 and crypto 2:1 at every level.
