Apex Trader Funding Payout Methods, Frequency and Speed

The Simple Answer

Apex splits payouts by geography rather than by preference. US traders are paid by ACH direct deposit to a US bank account, and international traders are paid through Plane, the Apex global payment partner. The minimum is $500 on any account size, and you become eligible again after 8 trading days including at least 5 days with $50 or more in profit. Most traders receive funds within 5 to 11 business days end to end.

Breakdown by Payout Method

BANK TRANSFER

ACH direct deposit for US traders

If you live in the United States, payouts go by ACH direct deposit straight to your US bank account. You set the method up inside the Apex dashboard before requesting anything. Apex flags one specific setup mistake worth avoiding: use your ACH routing number and not your wire transfer number, because the wrong one causes delays.

PAYMENT PROCESSOR

Plane for international traders

Traders outside the United States are paid through Plane, the Apex global payment partner. The sequence differs slightly from the US route: after your first payout is approved you receive an email invitation from Plane with instructions to link your local bank account. Apex advises checking your spam or junk folder if it has not arrived within a few days, since the first payout cannot complete until that link is made. Timing on the final leg depends on your local bank rather than on Apex.

Qualification Requirements

Profit split

Traders keep 100 percent of the first $25,000 paid out per account, then 90 percent of profit after that. Separately, to reach 100 percent payouts you must complete five approved payouts, after which the sixth payout onward pays 100 percent of profits. On a steady 8 day cycle that is reachable in roughly 48 trading days.

Payout limits by account

The minimum payout is $500 on any account size. Maximums apply only to the first five payouts: $1,500 on a 25K, $2,000 on a 50K, $2,500 on a 100K, $2,750 on a 150K, $3,000 on a 250K, $3,500 on a 300K and $1,000 on a 100K Static. From the sixth payout there is no maximum, provided the minimum balance threshold stays in the account afterwards. Those minimum balances are $26,600 on a 25K, $52,600 on a 50K, $103,100 on a 100K, $155,100 on a 150K, $256,600 on a 250K, $307,600 on a 300K and $102,600 on a 100K Static. A safety net of your drawdown plus $100 applies to the first three payouts only. The 30 percent consistency rule means no single day may exceed 30 percent of your total profit at the time of request, and it stops applying at the sixth payout or on transfer to a Live account. Each account is treated separately, so ten 50K accounts can each pay out $2,000 every 8 trading days.

What Traders Say About Apex Trader Funding Payouts

On Trustpilot, Apex Trader Funding holds 4.2 out of 5 from 20,781 reviews. Filtering those reviews for payout specifically, the twenty most relevant break down as 7 five-star, 1 four-star, 4 three-star, 8 one-star. That payout sample is what the rest of this section describes, and it can differ from the headline score.

What traders praise

Traders who are happy with Apex point at approval speed and at the transparency of the newer system. Several describe payout approvals as very quick, and one notes the payout requirements are now shown clearly, which removes the guesswork about whether a request will qualify.

What traders complain about

The complaints are almost entirely about the wait between approval and money arriving, not about denial. Multiple traders describe payouts approved and then sitting for two weeks or more. One reports fifteen days past approval with no funds, while still receiving automated emails about account inactivity. Another counts two to three weeks as normal and calls it unacceptable.

The general consensus

Apex pays, but the gap between approved and paid is where the frustration lives. Even satisfied traders quote eleven business days after approval as a good outcome. Budget for the wait rather than expecting same-day money.

Final Comments

Payout terms are the part of a prop firm offer that matters most once you are actually profitable, and they are also the part most likely to change without much notice. Check the method, the minimum and the frequency against your own withdrawal habits before you buy, because a fast payout you cannot qualify for is worth less than a slower one you can.
