Does Leeloo Trading Have a Daily Loss Limit?

The Simple Answer

No. Leeloo Trading does not use a daily loss limit on any account. Its published rules for Practice accounts and both Performance Account options cover the trailing max drawdown, contract sizes, trading days and payouts, and no daily figure appears anywhere. The drawdown is the single rule that ends an account.

Below is a breakdown of how the Leeloo Trading daily loss limit applies across every account type the firm offers.

Daily Loss Limit by Account Type

ACCOUNT TYPE DAILY LOSS LIMIT
Practice Accounts (all contract tiers) No daily loss limit; rising trailing max drawdown
Investor Performance Account No daily loss limit; trailing stops at initial balance plus $100
Accelerator Performance Account, Phase 1 No daily loss limit; static $625 max loss
Accelerator Performance Account, Phase 2 No daily loss limit; static minimum balance

Breakdown by Account Type

Practice accounts

During the Practice phase the only loss rule is the rising trailing max drawdown, which Leeloo also calls the Limited Trailing Minimum Account Balance or Auto Liquidate Threshold Value. It is unusually strict in one specific way: it trails your open equity intra-trade, not your closed profit, and it never stops trailing for the entire Practice account. Hit it and the position auto-liquidates and the account is lost, with a reset required to continue.

Why the intra-trade detail matters more than a daily limit would

Leeloo gives its own worked example on a 12 contract $100,000 account with a $3,000 drawdown. Open a trade that goes $600 into profit and the drawdown level moves to $97,600, because it trails the peak in real time. Close that trade for only $100 and the level stays at $97,600 even though your balance is $100,100. The peak your open position reached counts, whether or not you captured it. That is a tighter constraint than most daily loss limits.

Investor Performance Account

The Investor option works the same way with one important difference: the drawdown stops trailing at your initial balance plus $100 and never moves again. On a 12 contract $100,000 Investor account with a $3,000 drawdown, once open equity reaches $103,100 the level locks at $100,100 permanently. There is still no daily loss limit.

Accelerator Performance Account

The Accelerator has no trailing drawdown at all. Phase 1 uses a fixed max loss of $625 with a static minimum account balance of $99,375. Phase 2 adjusts the static minimum to $100,100 and it never moves from there. Again, no daily figure at either phase.

What to watch instead

Because there is no daily limit, the number to track is your Auto Liquidate Threshold Value in the R Trader Pro dashboard. Leeloo asks traders to watch it intra-trade rather than at the close, since the Auto Liquidate Threshold Value updates live while the Minimum Account Balance does not.

Final Comments

One trap worth knowing on Practice accounts: the stop keeps trailing even after you pass the profit target. If you have met the target but not yet completed your minimum 10 trading days, keep watching the trail, because it can still take the account.

A daily loss limit is the rule most traders breach first, usually on a day they were already losing. Know your number before the session starts, and check it against your own platform rather than assuming the firm will stop you in time.

What is the daily loss limit on a Practice Accounts (all contract tiers) account?

No daily loss limit; rising trailing max drawdown. During the Practice phase the only loss rule is the rising trailing max drawdown, which Leeloo also calls the Limited Trailing Minimum Account Balance or Auto Liquidate Threshold Value. What happens if I hit the Leeloo Trading daily loss limit?

Because there is no daily limit, the number to track is your Auto Liquidate Threshold Value in the R Trader Pro dashboard. Leeloo asks traders to watch it intra-trade rather than at the close, since the Auto Liquidate Threshold Value updates live while the Minimum Account Balance does not.

How can I track my Leeloo Trading daily loss during the session?

Most futures platforms show realised and unrealised profit and loss live, and commissions usually count toward the limit. Set your own alert well before the number rather than trusting the platform to stop you at it.
