Does FundedNext Futures Have a Daily Loss Limit?
The Simple Answer
On most plans, yes. Bolt and Rapid Daily accounts have one built in, Rapid Pro has it as an optional add-on, and the Flex Challenge has none. Hitting it is a soft breach: trading pauses for the rest of the day and resets the next trading day.
Below is a breakdown of how the FundedNext Futures daily loss limit applies across every account type the firm offers.
Daily Loss Limit by Account Type
Breakdown by Account Type
What counts toward the limit
FundedNext Futures includes more in the calculation than most firms, so read this before sizing a position. The daily loss limit counts closed losses, floating unrealised losses, broker commissions per side per contract, and regulatory and exchange fees round-turn. An open trade moving into a loss can trigger it even though you have not closed anything.
Bolt and Rapid Daily accounts
Bolt carries a $1,000 daily loss limit on the 50K. Rapid Daily scales it by size: $500 on the 25K, $1,000 on the 50K and $1,250 on the 100K. FundedNext states the limit applies equally to the Challenge and to the funded FundedNext Account, so the rule does not change when you pass.
Rapid Pro accounts
On Rapid Pro the daily loss limit is optional and comes as an add-on. If you select it, the figures match Rapid Daily: $500 on the 25K, $1,000 on the 50K and $1,250 on the 100K. If you do not, there is no daily figure and only the maximum loss limit applies.
Flex Challenge
Flex has no daily loss limit at all. FundedNext is explicit that this is the point of the plan, giving greater flexibility in trade management, with the maximum loss limit still in place to cap overall risk. Flex uses an end-of-day trailing drawdown that locks and stops trailing once the account reaches $50,100 on a 50K, $100,100 on a 100K and $150,100 on a 150K.
How the trailing works, with FundedNext own example
The daily limit trails from your highest end-of-day balance, which means it moves up as you profit. Start a 50K at $50,000 with a $1,000 limit and your breach level is $49,000. Finish day one at $51,500 and the level becomes $50,500. So on day two, equity touching $50,500 triggers the soft breach, even though you are still $500 up on your starting balance.
What happens when you hit it
Trading is disabled for the remainder of the day and automatically resets to its original amount at the start of the next trading day. FundedNext classes this as a soft breach, distinct from a hard breach, so the account survives.
Final Comments
FundedNext Futures is a separate product from FundedNext CFD and publishes its own help centre. The rules above are the futures ones; the CFD side differs.
A daily loss limit is the rule most traders breach first, usually on a day they were already losing. Know your number before the session starts, and check it against your own platform rather than assuming the firm will stop you in time.
