Does Lucid Trading Have a Daily Loss Limit?
The Simple Answer
On most plans, and on two of them you choose at checkout. Every daily loss limit at Lucid Trading is a soft breach: you do not lose the account for hitting it, you are locked out until the next session, as long as you have not also reached the Max Loss Limit.
Below is a breakdown of how the Lucid Trading daily loss limit applies across every account type the firm offers.
Daily Loss Limit by Account Type
Breakdown by Account Type
LucidPro
Evaluation accounts use a fixed daily loss limit that does not change: none on the 25K, $1,200 on the 50K, $1,800 on the 100K and $2,700 on the 150K. Funded accounts start on those same figures while the balance stays below the Initial Trail Balance, which is $26,100 on the 25K, $52,100 on the 50K, $103,100 on the 100K and $154,600 on the 150K. Close above that and the fixed limit is replaced by LucidScale.
LucidDirect
LucidDirect is the instant funded route and works the same way, with slightly different numbers. Fixed daily loss limit of none on the 25K, $1,200 on the 50K, $2,100 on the 100K and $3,000 on the 150K, with Initial Trail Balances of none, $52,100, $103,600 and $155,100. Above that threshold it moves to LucidScale.
LucidScale, the limit that grows with you
This is the part worth understanding, because it is unusual. Once you pass the Initial Trail Balance, your daily loss limit becomes your highest end-of-day account profit multiplied by 60 percent. Lucid gives its own example: a highest end-of-day profit of $4,000 produces a limit of $2,400. It increases as the account grows and it does not decrease even if the account draws down, so the room you earned stays earned.
LucidDaily
LucidDaily is decided at checkout. Choose DLL ON and you get a fixed daily loss limit on both the evaluation and the funded account: $600 on the 25K, $1,200 on the 50K, $1,800 on the 100K and $2,700 on the 150K, with the funded figures identical to the evaluation ones. Choose DLL OFF and there is no daily loss limit in either phase. It is one or the other across both phases, never a mix.
LucidFlex
LucidFlex has the same on-or-off choice and prices it directly. Daily Loss Limit On is enforced across evaluation and funded and gives you the cheaper evaluation price. Daily Loss Limit Off applies no daily limit in either phase and costs a premium. Lucid frames the decision plainly: choose ON for a lower purchase price, choose OFF if you want more flexibility and do not mind paying for it. Once selected the setting cannot be changed on an active account, so a different configuration means buying a new one.
What a soft breach means at Lucid
Across every plan, hitting the daily loss limit restricts you from placing further trades until the next trading session. You keep the account, provided the Max Loss Limit has not also been reached. The Max Loss Limit is the rule that actually ends accounts here.
Final Comments
On LucidDaily and LucidFlex the answer to this question depends on what you selected at checkout, so check your account configuration rather than assuming the plan default.
A daily loss limit is the rule most traders breach first, usually on a day they were already losing. Know your number before the session starts, and check it against your own platform rather than assuming the firm will stop you in time.
