Most people do not fail a challenge because they cannot trade. They fail because they cannot wait. The target sits there, and the urge to rush toward it turns good traders into gamblers. A trading meditation is how you make patience part of your edge instead of the thing that breaks you.
There is no bonus for passing fast. The account funds the same whether it takes a week or a month, so stop letting the target set your pace.
Waiting is part of the skill
I used to think patience was separate from trading, something you did between the real work. It is not. Waiting for the right setup is the job.
Think of an athlete warming up. If they think it is irrelevant they skip it. If they know it is part of the exercise, they do it. Patience is the same. It is part of the skill, not a break from it.
Sitting on your hands through a flat market is a decision, and often it is the best trade you make all day.
The urge to rush is just a feeling
When you are behind the pace you want, an urge shows up to force a trade. Here is the thing about urges. They rise, they peak, and if you do not feed them, they fade on their own.
You do not have to act on it. Notice the pull, sit with it, and watch it pass. That is the rep. Every time you let an urge go by without clicking, patience gets a little more automatic.
“There is no prize for passing fast. The account funds the same, so stop letting the target set your pace.”
The target is not a deadline
The reason people rush is they turn the profit target into a clock. It is not one. Most firms give you plenty of time, and many have no time limit at all.
Slow it down. One good setup a day gets you there without ever risking the account. Rushing only adds trades, and more trades in a hurry is how you find the drawdown limit.
Train doing nothing
If sitting still is the hard part, then that is the exact thing to practise. Our Patience meditation, Doing Nothing, trains you to be comfortable in the gap between trades.
Run it and you will notice the urge to always be in a position loses its grip. Then waiting for your setup stops feeling like torture and starts feeling like the plan.

Frequently asked questions
Stop treating the profit target as a deadline. Take one good setup a day at honest size and let it add up. Rushing just adds bad trades and brings you closer to the drawdown limit.
Usually it is impatience, not strategy. You force trades to hit the target faster. A trading meditation trains you to sit through the urge to rush so your edge actually has room to play out.
Many firms give generous time and some have no limit at all. Check your firm's rules, but in most cases there is no reason to rush. Patience is on your side.
